CITADEL Sports WJOX/BIRMINGHAM and syndicated host PAUL FINEBAUM's lawsuit against CITADEL BROADCASTING has fans on the AUBURN and ALABAMA football message boards speculating whether FINEBAUM, whose show is an institution in the region, is attempting to get out of his contract and move to another station or network.
The case was filed in ALABAMA Northern District Court and most recently was subject to a Petition for Removal to another jurisdiction, but the docket presently does not indicate any details of the suit.
FINEBAUM, known for his fearlessness in criticizing ALABAMA football, is syndicated throughout the SOUTH and is also heard on SIRIUS XM RADIO, with his latest headline-making show YESTERDAY including a highly-anticipated appearance by USA TODAY oddsmaker DANNY SHERIDAN, who had said he would reveal the identity of a "bagman" who ran cash between AUBURN UNIVERSITY and former star quarterback CAM NEWTON's family, but SHERIDAN instead came on to say that his attorney had instructed him not to give out the name in order to protect SHERIDAN's sources.
