Country Music Lends Voices To 2011 MDA Labor Day Telethon

The MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION announced YESTERDAY (8/18), that LADY ANTEBELLUM, MARTINA McBRIDE, and DARIUS RUCKER, will be featured during the 2011 MDA LABOR DAY TELETHON. The 46th annual event will be broadcasted on over 160 stations on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th.
Each performance was taped in JUNE at the GRAND OLE OPRY, and 12-year old MDA National Goodwill Ambassador ABBY UMALI, also made an appearance.
Opry Vice President and General Manager PETE FISHER said, “We’re pleased that Country music’s most famous stage was able to help create truly memorable segments for the MDA LABOR DAY TELETHON. LADY ANTEBELLUM, MARTINA McBRIDE, and DARIUS, transformed their OPRY performances into must-watch television to help advance MDA’s lifesaving mission.”
