Merge Focuses On New Facebook Metrics: 'Insights' And What They Mean

You may have seen the new public stat on your radio station's FACEBOOK page called "[People are] talking about this." You can find it under the number of "Likes" on your page.
This is FACEBOOK's way of allowing visitors and fans of "Like" pages to gauge for themselves if the brands are actually present and resonating with their fans on FACEBOOK and full of great content, or automating boring posts and dissing fans.
In this week's "MERGE" on ALL ACCESS, JACOBS MEDIA's LORI LEWIS dives into FACEBOOK's updated metric system to show you what FACEBOOK is trying tell all brands. FACEBOOK is not the platform for self indulgence. It is a platform where people come to be chatty with each other - not necessarily with brands. So, when someone actually does take the time to engage your brand on FACEBOOK - embrace them. They are the minority.
