Thomas Hesse Leaves Sony For Bertelsmann

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT Global Digital Bus/U.S. Sales Honcho THOMAS HESSE "is leaving the company to join BERTELSMANN, the GERMAN media giant, where he will be in charge of corporate development and new business," reports THE NEW YORK TIMES. BERTELSMANN will also add HESSE to their executive board.
It's expected the move will be announced later TODAY (11/30).
"His move was confirmed by a person with direct knowledge of Mr. HESSE's plans, who was not allowed to speak about it publicly," added THE TIMES.
SONY MUSIC Chairman DOUG MORRIS said in a statement, "We wish him much success in the future."
