Asking Alexandria
Jul 19, 2015
Asking Alexandria's latest rock anthem is entitled "I Won't Give In". It is the first single released in advance of Asking Alexandria's forthcoming fourth studio album via Sumerian Records. It is also the first song featuring their new lead vocalist, Denis Shaforostov, ex-member of metalcore band, Make Me Famous.
It seems Denis was the perfect for this band, and has since been writing for Asking Alexandria's next album, "I had this gut feeling. I totally felt something big was going to happen right before the guys reached out to me" he explained. "It's crazy. Honestly, I've never been waiting for such an opportunity to ever knock at my door but, at the same time, I was always ready for it. Without a doubt, I was extremely stoked and I poured all of my emotions into the writing for the new Asking Alexandria record."
This English metal band was formed in 2008 by lead guitarist Ben Bruce along with former lead singer Danny Worsnop, bassist Joe Lancaster, keyboardist and synth player Ryan Binns, and current members drummer James Cassells and rhythm guitarist Cameron Liddell. Lancaster and Binns later departed from the band in 2009 with Lancaster joining heavy metal band With One Last Breath. Bassist Sam Bettley joined the band that same year. Asking Alexandria has released three studio albums, "Stand Up And Scream" in 2009, "Reckless And Relentless" in 2011 and "From Death To Destiny" in 2013.
The band recently wrapped up a tour of Europe and they are currently on a stint on the Warped Tour through August.
