"Bad Guy"
Islander has been giving fans a taste of their upcoming album, "Power Under Control," which is set to release August 5th with a new single called "Bad Guy." Deliberately releasing their singles in chronological order, Islander intends to tell a story which is meant to be listened to like a book, not skipping any chapters.
"'Bad Guy' is a song about speaking the truth, telling someone something that they need to hear even though it may not be what that person wants to hear," says Islander vocalist and founder, Mikey Carvajal. This song is the response to their previous single, "Darkness."
South Carolina, Metal/Alternative group, Islander, first recruited Love and Death/ Korn guitarist, J.R. Bareis. The band was later joined with ex-FoereverAtLast bassist Zeke Vasquez and completed with ex- Avenged Sevenfold drummer Arin Ilejay.
They are set to start touring July 14th at festivals like the Open Air Pre-Party, and Rock USA Festival.
