Styx & Foreigner Tour Continues Despite Bus Fire
After a bus fire on July 2nd struck tour buses for the Styx/Foreigner Tour near Penn's Landing In Philadelphia, as a thanks for cooling down their burning buses, Styx and Foreigner along with Rock To The Rescue offered proceeds from the sale of THE SOUNDTRACK OF SUMMER CDs at “The Soundtrack of Summer†show in Camden, NJ on July 3rd (totaling $10,000) to a local fireman's charity, Philadelphia Fire Department Local #22 Widows Fund. The quick response from the Philadelphia fire department was the difference in stopping the fire in its tracks, which meant the tour could continue and not affect the rest of the shows. Pictured Left to Right from the tour stop on Friday, July 4 at the Toyota Pavilion at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA are James “JY†Young (Styx), Mick Jones (Foreigner), Don Felder, David Crosby, and Tommy Shaw (Styx).
