The White House:

But a top Pentagon official has reportedly sent NY GOP Congressman PETER KING a memo saying, "We plan to begin subject investigation immediately."

Fashion people are all a-Twitter over KANYE WEST’s Twitter rant Wednesday night. Hot on the heels of debunking a fake Twitter handle for his upcoming spring fashion line, Kanye spent more than an hour ranting in 140 characters or less about being a designer, his secret breach-of-contract with Louis Vuitton and, of course, himself.
Kanye revealed his master plan is to "pick up where STEVE JOBS left off!" He also said he hopes to "make products and experiences that people want and can afford," re-design the MTV Video Music Awards, is toying with the idea of working on a "Jetsons" film and fix America's schools with some help from SPIKE JONZE.
Some of it was unintentionally hilarious. Some of it was fashion-insider interesting, and Racked.com rounded up some of his best quotes:
--On materialism: “I know this is not a very rapper thing to say but I haven't bought a new car or piece of jewelry in about 2 years...”
--On the difficulty of being a celebrity: “Being a celebrity has afforded me many opportunities but has also boxed me in creatively.”
--“I designed a sneaker called the YEEZY with Nike. I'm ‘allowed’ to design 1 pair of sneakers every 2 years. I have more ideas...”
--On the Grammys: "I appreciate having the most nominations at the Gramm[ys] but I feel so conflicted by the fact that award shows sometimes are completely... illogical."
--On his fashion bona fides and breach of contract: "I moved to Japan for one month... and designed every night in my room... I had this opportunity to intern at Fendi and was also offered a position to at Versace which I could not take due to my contract with [Louis Vuitton] which was for 2 years. I moved to Rome after I left Japan and worked at Fendi for 4 months under cover... I was there to give ideas for the men's collection."
--On how Kanye can change the world: "The adrenaline is running... I don't know if I can even get to sleep now... From Wall street to the London riots to Chicago murders... I sit everyday and ask what can I do to make a difference..." (Bartha) -
