One in five Americans is not using the Internet nor do they have plans to do so. According to a Pew Research study, there's still part of the U-S population who view the Internet as irrelevant.
The latest Pew Internet and American Life project shows the use of Internet hasn't really changed much over the last few years. About 20-percent of the population is against the whole idea of ever going online.
--About half of those who reject the Internet say they don't see the point.
--10-percent say it's too expensive.
--2-percent aren't physically able to use a computer
--6-percent live in an area where there is no online access
Broken down by demographics, Pew found those most likely to stay offline are without a high school diploma, earn less than $30-thousand-dollars a year, senior citizens and those who don't list English as their first language. (Page)
