Culture Shock:
Worried about your spouse slipping off the wedding ring and cheating on you? Put this in the last-resort category: A ring that leaves the words "I'M MARRIED" embedded on the flesh of your finger.
In the old days, a creative cad could simply remove his ring before heading out on the town. But this band is engraved on the inside, so an imprint on the skin is made after the ring is worn for a while. (pics)
Cost of the titanium ring: $550. (Maiman)Trash talk and satellite dish:
There's a whole lot of drama brewing backstage at "Today." Sources tell the National Enquirer that MATT LAUER's wife, ANNETTE ROQUE, threatened to divorce her longtime husband if NATALIE MORALES takes over ANN CURRY's gig. Rumors have been swirling for years that the two are more than just co-workers, indulged in an affair while covering the 2006 Winter Olympics and some swear Natalie's son looks just like Matt! (Lee)
Gossip Central:
The magic is gone in "Magic Mike" for MIRCEA MONROE. The actress tells Star magazine, "It was great hearing guys talk about what they're eating and where they're waxing." (Myers)
Second-chance prom:
This senior prom is really for seniors. Senior citizens to be exact.
The NY Post reports the 1943 graduates of James Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Connecticut, had to cancel their prom. That's because a lot of them were going off to fight World War II. A dozen members of the original graduating class are organizing a do-over prom for next year. (Still)The Hollywood rumor mill:
What "Hatfield & McCoys" star wants to be in the next "Hunger Games" movie?
No, not KEVIN COSTNER. That would be JENA MALONE, who starred in "Sucker Punch" and Entertainment Weekly says she's reportedly being considered for the role of District Seven champ Johanna Mason in the sequel.
There are also rumors going around that KRISTEN BELL would also like to play the role as well.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
MICHAEL JACKSON's tiger has died. Thriller was part of the late King of Pop's Neverland Ranch and was moved to actress TIPPI HEDDREN's wildlife preserve near Los Angeles. That's where he died. Thriller was 13-years-old and weighed 375 pounds. He was cremated. (Marino)
