Models:
Surprise, surprise. A KARDASHIAN was spotted on the catwalk for AVRIL LAVIGNE's label at New York Fashion Week. Half-sister and teen model KYLIE JENNER walked in Avril's Abbey Dawn show. That's really no big surprise. Avril is also engaged to Kylie's brother. The big surprise... big sister KIM and KANYE WEST were no-shows. (Bartha)
The wardrobe malfunction du jour goes to EMMA WATSON, who almost flashed one of "the girls" while walking the red carpet at the premiere of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." The savvy photographers over at RadarOnline.com caught all the action and noticed she was savvy enough to wear a little extra coverage for added protection. (Lee)
Sucks to be you:
The celebrity disease of the week honors to LISA OZ --wife of TV physician DR. OZ --who came down with a case of the West Nile Virus! The charming doc tells "Inside Edition" that the little lady couldn't get out of bed, thought she had the flu, he gave her a vitamin with some extra D and she got better within a week. (Lee)
Idle gossip & unconfirmed rumors:
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's wedding to JESSICA BIEL is bittersweet. According to Star magazine, JT's maternal grandparents won't be able to make the destination wedding in Italy due to his grandfather's deteriorating health. (Myers)
Grace notes:
No man is an island, but JOHN LENNON once owned one, and it's now for sale. Business Week says John bought Dorinish Island on the west coast of Ireland in 1967, and he was planning on retiring there with YOKO ONO. She held on to the property until 1984, four years after John's death, and sold it to local farmers. Well, now "Beatles Island," as its known is on the market for 370-thousand dollars. It's the size of 12 soccer fields, and John only went out there to see it once, in 1968 with Yoko. The island has been for sale since July, but so far there are no takers. (Marino)
Survivor: real life:
This probably isn't the best way to become a sailor.
CNews reports an Alaskan fisherman spent an entire night floating at sea in a small 3-foot by 3-foot plastic container. 19-year-old RYAN HARRIS was rescued by the U-S Coast Guard after spending more than 24-hours at sea. After his boat sank off the coast, Harris kept his spirits up by singing "Row, row, row your boat" all night.
Rescuers say Harris' 28-foot fishing boat tipped over due to high waves.
Before becoming a life-raft, the three-foot plastic bin had been used to hold freshly caught fish. (Still) -
