Recall:
Maybe Ikea should just stick with furniture.
First, its beef contained too much horsemeat, and now its elk meat has too much pork. Ikea has pulled 17-thousand packages of elk lasagna --you read that correctly-- from stores across Europe because they contained about 1.6 percent pork. The product had been on shelves for about a month before getting yanked in late March, but the chain didn't publicize the move until Swedish media reported it over the weekend.
Editor's note: Heartbreaking. There is just nothing left to believe in!
--No big deal. Swedish meatballs aren't made from real Swedes either.
--Seems like IKEA is in a rut, but I say it's just a sign of the tines.
--With IKEA instructions, how could anyone assemble moose lasagna to the point of actually eating it? (Maiman)Trash talk and satellite dish:

The "catfight du jour" title goes to JAIME PRESSLY and ESTELLA WARREN from "Planet of the Apes." Sources at a party last Friday night tell Us Weeklythe "My Name Is Earl" starlet discovered her assistant's purse missing and they used a "find my phone" app to locate the bag. It turned up at a joint called "Bootsy Bellows" where Estella swore the accessory was hers. Jaime got "forceful" in the matter and things took a nasty turn when drugs were discovered inside! The police were called out and the investigation is ongoing. (Lee)Stalking the catwalk:
Life can be downright brutal when you're a teenager --especially if you don't look like all the other kids on campus. Luckily, GRACE HARTZEL didn't take the teasing from her coeds in Chicago, Illinois, too seriously and is now the envy of her peers. RadarOnline.com reports the 17-year-old was always regarded as the "tall, skinny weird girl" and even called anorexic by some fellow students. Turns out the genetically-blessed young lady has what it takes to be a big-time model and was discovered at the Cheesecake Factory in St. Louis by the same woman who helped ASHTON KUTCHER to the big time.
Grace now lives in London and adores traveling around the world, but says she misses the day-to-day routine of high school. (Lee)Broadcast, cable and video news:
This afternoon: KATIE COURIC has that "Mary Tyler Moore" reunion on the set of "Hot In Cleveland" with stars VALERIE HARPER, CLORIS LEACHMAN, BETTY WHITE, GEORGIA ENGEL and the woman who originally put them all together more than 40 years ago, MARY TYLER MOORE.
The interview reportedly moves from Valerie Harper's terminal cancer to behind the scenes interviews with the other stars of the show including VALERIE BERTINELLI, JANE LEEVES and WENDIE MALICK.Grace notes:
That young man who had to back out of two dates with TAYLOR SWIFT because of his health finally had his dream come true last night. TheBoot.com says Kevin McGuire of Stratford, New Jersey, asked Taylor to be his prom date last year. She had to say no but invited Kevin to be her date to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. He had to back out because he wasn't healthy enough to travel. Well, this year Kevin is feeling better after getting a bone marrow transplant from his little brother, and last night he was Taylor's date to this year's ACM's. Guess good things do come to those who wait. (Marino)
Congratulations to NANCY LEVANDOWSKI and STEVE KELLER, who were the first couple to say their "I Do's" at the brand-new Denny's wedding chapel in fabulous Las Vegas! The lovebirds flew in from Iowa for the grand affair and the blushing bride thought it was the perfect destination --apparently her groom is a big fan of the 24-hour chain and she spent lots of time ordering Grand Slams during her college years.
The budget-friendly nuptials start at just $95, include a Pancake Puppies wedding cake and tee-shirts. (Lee) -
