Pet Patrol:
Dog owners near Madrid, Spain, who don't scoop up after their pooches are getting a surprise in the mail.
Volunteers have been drafted to walk around neighborhoods, looking for owners who fail to pick up their pets poop. When they spot a deadbeat dog owner, they strike up a conversation --in an attempt to learn their names and addresses. If the volunteers get enough info, they come back, pick up the poop, and mail it to the offender's address. (Still)Taking everything much too seriously:
A New York City couple who hosted self-help radio show have been found dead in a joint suicide.
Psychotherapist LYNNE ROSEN and her boyfriend, JOHN LITTIG, who together hosted WBAI-FM's "Pursuit of Happiness" program, were found dead in their Brooklyn apartment Monday night, reportedly having suffocated themselves by putting plastic bags over their heads and inhaling helium.
The program was dedicated to offering callers advice on how to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.

Guys --would you ever have an affair with your mom's best friend?
If you're a mom, would you ever have an affair with your best friend's son?
That's the premise of a new film called "Two Mothers," starring NAOMI WATTS and former "Princess Bride" babe, ROBIN PENN WRIGHT. It debuted at the Sundance Film Festival (where else would such an edgy film be screened?) and has just been picked up by a company which will likely be putting it in theatres this fall.
The movie, by the way, is adapted from a novel by DORIS LESSING, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Two guys you probably have never heard of, XAVIER SAMUEL and JAMES FRECHEVILLE, play the sons.Summer Fashion Trends Men Hate (Source: SheFinds.com)

A former beauty queen has announced a run for Congress on the Republican side, and she intends on posing a primary challenge to an incumbent GOP House member. Former Miss America ERIKA HAROLD says she'll challenge incumbent IL GOP Congressman RODNEY DAVIS in the state's 13th Congressional District.
The 33-year-old Harold is a single, a Harvard-educated attorney. She was a delegate to the 2004 Republican National Convention after winning the 2003 Miss America crown. (Pacelli)Grace notes:
GUNS N' ROSES has been booked to play the Governors Ball festival this Saturday in New York City for a while, but AXL ROSE has decided to add on another gig while the band is in town. Tonight, Guns will do a "surprise" show at the Brooklyn Bowl in the trendy Williamsburg section of town. Yes, it's a bowling alley with a performance area. Tickets are $125-dollars each. (Marino)
