Nearly Naked David Beckham Alert: There's good news for the ladies! (and open minded men)... You're going to get to vote on which abs-tacular ad featuring DAVID BECKHAM for H&M will air during the Super Bowl. The soccer superstar who regularly strips down to his skivvies for his David Beckham for H&M bodywear line has filmed two different 30-second spots. PerezHilton.com says one is called "Covered." The other is "Uncovered." Neither ad has been released yet... But we all know which one to vote for, right? (Bartha)
Another @$#%* Press Release:
Jelly Bellies come in every variety imaginable and just added another, adult flavor to the mix. PerezHilton.com reports suds lovers can get a simultaneous sugar fix with the all-new (wait for it...) Draft Beer beans. ROB SWAIGEN, the vice president of marketing for the company, says fans have been requesting them for a while and the recipe took three years to perfect. Teetotallers fear not --the goodies contain no alcohol. (Lee)
Locked Up for their own good:
A Pennsylvania fugitive shared a wanted poster of himself on Facebook and was captured within minutes.
Police in Freeland say ANTHONY JAMES LESCOWITCH, Jr, had been evading arrest for two months. He was wanted in connection with an assault from last summer. Cops posted a wanted bulletin on their Facebook page and 35-year-old Lescowitch reposted it on his own page three minutes later with the caption "love it."
Cops quickly set up a sting operation by posing as an attractive woman on the social networking site. After chatting with the guy for a few minutes, officers arranged to meet him for a cigarette at a specific location. When he showed up, they cuffed him. (Still)Broadcast, cable and video news:
If you liked those JASON STATHAM "Transporter" movies where he played a go-to guy with a car willing to move anything --or anyone-- for a price, then you'll be psyched to learn TNT has picked up the French-Canadian TV series based on the movies. The TV show stars "Rizzoli & Isles" and "Prison Break" actor CHRIS VANCE in the role played by Statham in the movies and will debut this fall on TNT.
Grace notes:
The Grammy Awards will be handed out Sunday night. CBS will air the big event live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pharrell Williams all got seven nominations each. As usual, the telecast will have more performances than actual awards handed out, but that's what you want to see anyway, right?
THE BEATLES will be saluted, and the two surviving members, Sir PAUL McCARTNEY and RINGO STARR will be there. They won't be performing together. That will happen on Monday when a Beatles 50th anniversary special is taped. You'll get to see that on CBS, February 9th, the exact date the Fab Four performed live for the first time on the "Ed Sullivan Show" 50 years ago.
Look for other performances on the Grammy telecast by TAYLOR SWIFT, KATY PERRY, LORDE, MACKLEMORE & RYAN LEWIS, ROBIN THICKE with CHICAGO; CAROLE KING with SARA BAREILLES; DAFT PUNK with STEVIE WONDER, NILE RODGERS and PHARRELL WILLIAMS; METALLICA with classical pianist LANG LANG (lahng lahng), plus the loudest finale in Grammy history! You can see the full list of nominees at grammy.com. (Marino) -
