Bottom feeding:
LADY GAGA still loves to show off "the girls" after all these years. The Mother Monster revealed on Instagram that she was wearing vintage Mugler on a plane flight while listening to MILES DAVIS. Unfortunately, most of her followers were probably more interested in her (ahem) bare, right breast than fashion or music. (Lee)
Designer Update:
MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN have created their first-ever wedding dress. The "Full House" child stars-turned luxury fashion moguls run two exclusive labels, The Row and the Elizabeth + James. Fashionista.com says Mary-Kate and Ashley created a lacy, bohemian gown for their longtime friend and stylist MOLLY FISHKIN, who got married in Los Angeles over the weekend. (Bartha)
Reality Round-Up:
Warning: don't try this at home.
Those kids from "Party Down South" are making the guidos from the "Jersey Shore" look like novices. TMZ.com got a hold of video featuring RYAN "Daddy" RICHARDS sucking down a whopping 25-ounces of Jagermeister last weekend, which is easily enough to kill him!
Unfortunately, a company called sexybeerbongs.com found the dangerous stunt amazing and offered him a piece of the action if he'll become a spokesman. (Lee)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
SHAKIRA is now the most "liked" celebrity on Facebook. Last week, she passed the 100-million fans mark, beating out EMINEM who has 91.9-million and RIHANNA with 89-million. Shakira was very busy on Facebook during the World Cup, sending out photos from the games. But, Facebook says her most popular photo shows her standing on the field at Maracana Stadium holding a soccer ball. It was "liked" 3.5-milliom times. Shakira also performed at the closing ceremony. Trolling for IQ points:
You know all those slices of toast that keep popping up around the world with the faces of JESUS or MARY burned into them? Well, now you can make your own.
A company out of Vermont has a new line of toasters that allows customers to take a selfie and then burn that image onto a slice of bread. According to the Vermont Novelty Toaster Corporation's website, "You don't have to be famous or Jesus to have your face on toast!" The company promises, if you give them a high resolution image, their "toast engineers" will create fun breakfast memories for you.
The toasters retail for $75-bucks and shipping is free. (Still)Chocolate, Caffeine, Alcohol:
It's what your grandmother always warned you about: caffeine is going to kill you!
Just kidding. But it does seem as if pure, powdered caffeine can have that effect, because the FDA is now warning people against buying powdered caffeine after the death of a teenager from Ohio. Powdered caffeine currently has no regulations and is available for sale on the internet, usually without any advice on how much to take. That's how eighteen-year-old LOGAN STINER died, after taking powdered caffeine in May.
While it doesn't sound dangerous, one teaspoon is equivalent to twenty-five cups of coffee. FDA spokeswoman JENNIFER DOOREN said that people who drink coffee, tea, or soda for their daily kick are probably less aware of caffeine's serious side effects, and warns that the powdered form is a pure chemical. "The difference between a safe amount and a lethal dose of caffeine in these powdered products is very small," Dooren notes.
Symptoms of a caffeine overdose can include a rapid heartbeat, diarrhea, disorientation, seizures, and vomiting. (AB) -
