Overnight Briefing & General Reality Check - Apr 7, 2015

The First Family at play:
FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA was kind enough to warn her friendly neighbors that there's a new driver on the road; her 16-year-old daughter, MALIA! The wife of the Commander-In-Chief joked to: "Look out DC" and is woman enough to admit the lessons weren't easy. Mrs. Obama revealed on a special edition of "Live with Kelly and Michael" that she hadn't driven in seven, long years and had no idea how to park in public lots. (Lee)
A New York judge has OK'd a woman's request to serve her husband with divorce papers via a Facebook message.
The NY Daily News reports 26-year-old nurse ELLANORA BAIDOO and her husband, VICTOR SENA BLOOD-DZRAKU, are both from Ghana, and although they were married in a 2009 civil ceremony in the Big Apple, their relationship went South after he refused to do a traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony as well.
He's kept in touch with her by phone and Facebook --but that's all.
So the judge decided she could legally change her relationship status to "single" on Facebook and serve her husband with the divorce summons using a private message "once a week for three consecutive weeks or until acknowledged."
"I think it's new law, and it's necessary," said her lawyer. The post office has no forwarding address for him, there is no billing address linked to his prepaid cell phone, and the Department of Motor Vehicles has no record of him. "We tried everything, including hiring a private detective --and nothing," he said.
Crooks too stupid to live:
Jesse Roepcke of Summefield, Florida, isn't as bright as his laser pointer. He was a passenger in a car being driven by Brandie Tate and he just wanted to have some fun. While Brandie drove, Jesse shined a laser light into the eyes of passing drivers. A woman eventually called police and reported him.
When authorities pulled them over, Jesse has pot-smoking paraphenalia on him. Back at the police station he was strip searched and when he bent over, his stash fell out of his butt. (Myers)
Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
If you're planning on getting married at the new Graceland wedding chapel in Las Vegas, know this: There will be NO ELVIS IMPERSONATORS! That's what PRISCILLA PRESLEY told the Review-Journal. She tied the knot with ELVIS in Sin City back in 1967, and she wants this chapel to be high-class... and that is not a lie. A real, licensed official will perform the ceremonies, with a suit and tie, not a jumpsuit and sideburns. The chapel is part of "Graceland Presents ELVIS: The Exhibition --The Show-- The Experience," which opens April 23rd at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort. You probably know it better as the International Hotel or the Las Vegas Hilton. That's where Elvis did hundreds of sold-out concerts from 1969 to 1976. For six weeks, an actor, not an impersonator, will do a Elvis concert with a 24-piece band inside the renovated showroom where The King did his thing.
FYI: There are still wedding chapels in Vegas where you CAN get married by an Elvis impersonator. (Marino)
