Posturing, Posing, Polling and Press Releases:
Some mixed numbers for Democrat HILLARY CLINTON in a few key swing states according to a new Quinnipiac University poll. In hypothetical match-ups against KY GOP Sen. RAND PAUL, he led Mrs. Clinton 44-to-41 percent in Colorado and 43-to-42-percent in Iowa. In Virginia, Clinton led 47-to-43-percent. (Pacelli)
Sources say that HILLARY CLINTON is expected to announce her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination as early as this weekend. That word comes as the New York Daily News reports that her announcement will come sometime on Sunday, likely through a social media posting followed by campaign travel.
Her campaign is expected to focus on digital communications in an attempt to connect with young voters. (Pacelli)Trash talk and satellite dish:
ALYSSA MILANO is not a happy mama. The actress blasted the officials at Heathrow Airport yesterday after they made her dump the milk she'd pumped on the flight to London, then her breast pump went missing in the baggage claim. Alyssa Tweeted that "10 ounces" of the precious liquid was simply "Gone," which is "Not okay." (Lee)
Those rumors about JESSICA SIMPSON's pill problem just won't quit. As we told 'ya last Monday, (RBR 4.6.15) the dizzy blonde's family staged an intervention, she flat-out refused to get help and In Touch magazine reports she's threatened to "cut off" her loved ones if they bring up her addiction again.
Word is everyone's walking on pins and needles and the mom of two little ones is still taking Adderall and hitting the bottle. (Lee)Drug Bust of the Day:
Hey, is that heroin in your pants or are you just happy to see me? IVAN RODRIGO VIDAL FORERO was traveling from his home in Columbia to JFK Airport and was stopped and searched at customs. They found two cylinders with a brown powdery substance in them that tested positive as heroin. Police estimate that the drugs had a street value of about $61-thousand dollars. (Myers)
Taking everything much too seriously:
A man in India is troubled that his amazing skills can't land him a job.
37-year-old BHUPAN CHANDRA DAS is known in India for his ability to stick hundreds of surgical needles in his face at once. It has even earned him the name NEEDLE MAN. Das once even stuck a total of 550 needles in his face at one time. But, all his fame hasn't brought him any fortune. His father, SAMBHRUAM, says, "I asked my son to discontinue such activity and find any job... I also told him to get married and start his life afresh." But, Das says he won't stop sticking needles in his face until he gets recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. (Still) -
