Posturing, Posing, Polling and Press Releases:
NBC is trying to give itself breathing room from GOP presidential candidate DONALD TRUMP. In a statment relreased yesterday, the network rebuked Trump --its longtime content partner-- over comments he made about Hispanic immigrants.
The statement said, "Donald Trump's opinions do not represent those of NBC, and we do not agree with his positions on a number of issues, including his recent comments on immigration."
NBC co-owns the Miss Universe Organization with Trump, who is also a partner on NBC's popular "Celebrity Apprentice" reality TV franchise. Univision is dropping its Spanish-language coverage of the Miss USA pageant in July and the company says it will cut all business ties with Donald Trump. (Pacelli)What's Poppin':
There's apparently another person involved in that prison break in upstate New York.
As you know by now, RICHARD MATT and DAVID SWEAT broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility with the help of JOYCE MITCHELL, a supervisor in the prison's tailor shop, who allegedly smuggled tools embedded in meat through the main gate at the prison.
Now, authorities claim a prison guard named GENE PALMER gave at least one of the guys a screwdriver and a wrench to help fix electrical breakers in the catwalk area behind their cells. He also admitted providing them with tools, paint, frozen hamburger and access to the electrical box, but claims he never knew they planned to bust out.
Palmer's lawyer says he never knew there was contraband embedded in the meat, which he got from Joyce Mitchell. His lawyer told ANDERSON COOPER "Before he handed off the meat, he asked if there was anything wrong with it and she said no... The only mistake he made was trusting Joyce Mitchell."
He's out on $25-thousand dollars bail; the escaped prisoners have still not been found.Going Geek-dot-com /Caught in the Web:
Forget about KIM KARDASHIAN's oiled-up booty --there's a new picture breaking the internet that could save your vision! Marie Claire magazine reports those smartypants over at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology created an amazing photo that will determine whether you need glasses. The optical illusion will appear as ALBERT EINSTEIN to folks that can see well, or MARILYN MONROE if their eyes are less than perfect. It's all due to how well we pick up contrast and detail and you can check it out HERE. (Lee)

Warning: note sexual content:
If teenagers do think about sex constantly, at least a few teenagers are being productive about it.
Three teenage boys from Great Britain, fourteen-year-old DAANYAAL ALI and CHIRAG SHAH, and 13-year-old MUAZ NAWAZ, have created a concept for a condom that would change color when it came in contact with STDs. The idea is that there would be antibodies on the condom that could change colors depending on the disease.
The three teenagers won top honors at the UK's TeenTech Awards, which is an annual science competition for students. They won about $15-hundred bucks and a trip to meet PRINCE ANDREW at Buckingham Palace.
However, the concept (cleverly named S.T. EYE, a play off STI) still has a long way to go before it's actually produced. Does the condom detect diseases in one partner, or both? Can it distinguish between the two? And what happens if someone has multiple STDs? Does the condom become a rainbow?
"We know most of these ideas remain ideas, but some of them do make it," said TeenTech chief executive MAGGIE PHILBIN. Condom companies have already started approaching the teens about their idea. (AB) -
