Posturing, Posing, Polling and Press Releases:
A majority of Americans say they're tired of hearing about HILLARY CLINTON's email controversy. Fifty-nine-percent of those surveyed in a new Monmouth University poll held that view when asked if there were tired of hearing about the emails, or if they thought media should continue to cover the topic.
Thirty-two percent of respondents said that the media should continue to cover Clinton's emails, while 10-percent said they did not know. Not surprisingly, most Democrats says they're heard enough, while most Republicans say the questions should continue. (Pacelli)Another @$#%* Press Release:
Another day, another new drink at Starbucks --this time compliments of Seattle Seahawks player MARSHAWN LYNCH. Us Weeklyreports the running back's beverage features a double mocha base with protein powder, a hint of cream and mint, purple berry drizzle, whipped cream, a dash of matcha and is called the Beast Mode Frap. The java giant will donate 24-cents to the athlete's 1st Family Foundation for every drink sold and hopes to fork over $24-thousand dollars. (Lee)
The Reel Deal:
"Rocky" and "Rambo" catapulted SYLVESTER STALLONE into superstar status in the 1970s and '80s. Now Sly is auctioning off some of the films' most famous memorabilia, ranging from the black leather jacket he wore in "Rocky" and the gloves and title belt used in "Rocky II" for his rematch against Apollo Creed, to Rocky Balboa's robes and shorts.
Heritage Auctions in Los Angeles, which will be selling the props on Dec 18 and 19 says there are more than 14-hundred props, costumes and personal items, including several knives and machetes and a U.S. Army flag patch jacket he wore in 1982 in "First Blood."
A portion of the proceeds donated to organizations that assist US war veterans. Check out the items HERE.Broadcast, cable and video news:
Let's do the "Time Warp" again, dep't: there's a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" reboot in the works.
Entertainment Weekly magazine reports FOX has already cast "Orange is the New Black" costar LAVERNE COX as the new Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a role formerly played by TIM CURRY in the original 1975 film, which is celebrating its 40th year of release (not to mention midnight films).
The "Rocky Horror" film will be a two-hour television event on FOX next fall (2016); no other castings have been announced yet.Rounding up the usual suspects:
A biker in England broke his bail conditions by playing Angry Birds. LESLIE MARKHAM, who's 33, and a member of the Mongols club, was not supposed to use a cell phone at all. A plain clothes police officer spotted him playing the popular game on his pregnant girlfriend's phone while they were at a doctor's appointment together. His partner claims that she wasn't feeling well and handed him the phone to hold for her, but his lawyer never showed up in court to argue that so Markham was held in jail for three days. (Myers)
