Bad luck:
A New York man went out-of-state for an operation and came back to find his house was missing.
PHILIP WILLIAMS of Long Island traveled to Florida last winter for knee surgery. When he returned to his home in August, it had vanished. Williams says all that was left was an empty lot, covered in grass. It turns out the town hall in West Hempstead ordered the demolition of his house because neighbors had complained that the structure --built in the 1920s-- was old and unsafe. Officials say they sent out letters before razing the property, but Williams says he never got them.
Williams is demanding an explanation and wants to know what happened to his personal belongings, including jewelry belonging to his deceased wife. (Still)Baseball:
A parade and rally are scheduled for this afternoon in downtown Kansas City to celebrate its Royals' World Series win on Sunday. City officials said yesterday they expect up to 200-thousand people to attend the event that will wind through 2.3 miles of the city's streets ending at Union Station. Several area school districts called off classes for Tuesday, anticipating many students will be absent. However, the Kansas City, Missouri, school district said their schools will be open. Party-poopers! (Lane)
Grace notes from Vinny Marino:

Nicki is the executive producer of the show which will follow her family relocating from Trinidad to Queens, New York, in the early 1990's. The series will be shot in New York City. Overheard on Sunset Blvd:
Steve Austin lives --there's a reboot of "The Six Million Dollar Man" in the works... except the Bionic Man's gotten a lot more expensive to build.
The Hollywood Reporter says MARK WAHLBERG will star in (wait for it...) "The Six BILLION Dollar Man," which will be out in December, 2017. No word on whether they'll still use the same cheezy sound effects.Fashion Emergency:
LILY ALDRIDGE has been anointed the wearer of this year's Victoria's Secret $2-million dollar "Fantasy Bra." The Hollywood Reporter says the 2015 "Firework" bra is encrusted with thousands of diamonds and 18-karat gold detailing. You can see that very shiny bra and the entire scantily-clad modeling extravaganza when the "Victoria's Secret Fashion Show" airs on December 8th. (Bartha)
The Internet:
There's another scandal kicking off over at AshleyMadison.com as one man claims there's a serious shortage of ladies on the website! TMZ.com reports DAVID POYET has filed a lawsuit claiming the site had nowhere near five-point-five-million women they promised and hackers revealed there's really just 12-thousand genuine females looking for an extramarital affair.
Mr. Poyet is suing for unfair and fraudulent business practices, wants over five-million-bucks and is hoping other people will come forward to join forces with him. (Lee) -
