Shopping Around:
Target says they'll be open on Thanksgiving Day --but not until 6 pm, after most folks have had their big meal and are ready to shop for bargains. And --they'll stay open all night and all day on Black Friday.
This is the second year they've opened on Thanksgiving.
Also --if you don't wanna leave home, Target also says the same deals can be found at Target.com starting on Thanksgiving morning. The company also says if you spend at least $75-bucks, you'll get a 20 percent discount you can use between Dec 04-13.
So far, Macy's, Sears, Best Buy, Kohl's, JC Penny, Five Below, Michaels, Sports Authority and Toys R Us are also planning to open on Thanksgiving. For a full list of stores, head HERE.Fast Food:
Mark down Joe's Crab Shack as the first big chain that's begun a "no-tipping" policy for your waiter or waitress.
They'll still get paid --they're getting a raise to $14-bucks an hour, instead of $2.13 plus tips-- for working there. Meantime, you don't have to shell out for the tip... just take the shell off the crabs.Stars and their movies:
DANIEL RADCLIFFE is getting a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame this morning.
Director CHRIS COLUMBUS and CHRIS HARDWICK, who hosts "@midnight with Chris Hardwick" on Comedy Central, will be speaking at the ceremony in front of the Dolby Theatre at 11:30 am (Pacific). The ceremony will also be plugging his upcoming movie, "Victor Frankenstein," which will be released on Wed, Nov 25, the day before Thanksgiving.Lowering expectations:
A Washington state woman caught video of a mail carrier tossing her package from his car to her porch.
The unidentified Kenmore resident uploaded the video to her YouTube channel. It shows the postal worker pulled up to her home and throwing a box of new vacuum supplies onto her porch from his postal truck. The resident explains, "He either nailed it on his very first try ever, or he's been practicing his throws!"
The woman filed a complaint with the United States Postal Service, since the box was dented. USPS apologized and the lady responded: "Apology accepted and all is well." (Still)Grace notes:
Tomorrow is JUSTIN BIEBER day. His new album, "Purpose" comes out and to celebrate he'll host "An Evening With Justin Bieber" at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. First up is the world premiere of a 45-minute film called "Purpose: The Movement." There will be some surprise guests, and Justin may perform, but he's scheduled to close out the night with a Q&A session. Tickets are $22-dollars which also comes with a copy of the album. Justin also revealed his 2016 tour dates. He'll kick it off on March 9th in Seattle, and wrap up on July 18th at New York's Madison Square Garden. (Marino)
