The White House:
The White House says First lady MICHELLE OBAMA will attend the funeral of NANCY REAGAN on Friday. Mrs. Reagan will be laid to rest beside her husband during a private ceremony at the RONALD REAGAN Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA.
PRESIDENT OBAMA will not attend the funeral and will instead appear at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, TX. (Pacelli)Auto World /Gas Guzzlin' Update:
Tesla Motors announced yesterday that they'll be taking the covers off their Model 3 electric car at the end of the month.
The Tesla Model 3 is reported to cost just $35-thousand dollars and have a mileage range of 200 miles.
That's less than it's big brothers, the Tesla Models X or S, but is also a lot less costly, since the Tesla Model X SUV retails for $132-grand and the Model S for between $71-106-thousand dollars, but both of them also have a high range, of between 220-300 miles on a single charge.
You can reserve one beginning March 31 in Tesla stores and online on April 1 for a $1,000 down payment. The Model 3 is expected to ship in late 2017.On, off and way-off-Broadway:
DONALD TRUMP was once Max Bialystock! The New York Times says he was 23-years-old when he took Broadway producer DAVID BLACK out to lunch. The kid just graduated from Wharton and wanted to be a producer. With some money from his dad, Donnie offered to bankroll Black's next play, if he could get equal billing credit on the posters and in Playbill. The 1970 show was called "Paris Is Out!" a comedy starring Yiddish theater icon MOLLY PICON (PEE-kon), and Trump's name came above David Black's! The play was a flop and that ended The Donald's career as a Broadway producer. (Marino)
School daze:
Can't just throw a frat party anymore. Police in Bethesda, Maryland, were called to an off-campus party put on by Pi Kappa Alpha at American University. The house where the party was held was leased to TYLER STEINHARDT, who's 22, and now faces 110 counts of giving alcohol to minors and could be fined almost $250 grand!
The party was so out of control that beer was seeping through the ceiling of the house. So many people were packed in that the temp in the house was about 100 degrees and the alcohol content of the air in the home was .09, more than the legal limit for a driver in Maryland. If you're afraid of clowns, Orlando, Florida, is NOT the place to be this week. Hundred of clowns are in town for the World Clown Association convention. PAM MOODY, the VP of the organization says that the clowns face a very serious issue, scary movies and TV shows making them look bad and giving them a bad rap.
More than 200 clowns have gathered at the International Palms Resort and Convention Center to take part in classes on face painting, costuming, balloon making and putting on a funny skit.
Cut them a little break though. On Wednesday night they perform for the local children's hospital. (Myers) -
