Fashion Emergency:
Sloppy-eating fashionistas! 'Tis time to rejoice! Old Navy claims their new white jeans are ketchup-proof, making them safe for your next barbecue. Racked.com says wine, ketchup, coffee, juice, and other commonly-spilled picnic items wipe right off Old Navy's $45-dollar "Mid-Rise Stay-White Rockstar Super Skinny jeans." The stain-resistant jeans are supposed to make spilled liquids bead up to prevent stains. If a stain does occur, they say the jeans should come clean with just one washing. The stain-resistant technology is supposed to last for at least 20 washes. (Bartha)
On the Beat:
The EASTER BUNNY has been attacked.
Police in Jersey City, New Jersey, say a mall Easter Bunny was assaulted by an angry dad. 44-year-old JUAN JIMENEZ-GUERRERO allegedly jumped 22-year-old KASSIM CHARLES, who was wearing the bunny suit at the Newport Centre. The incident happened after Jimenez-Guerrero's infant daughter slipped while visiting with the bunny. Security separated the men during the scuffle. Cops say both men were taken into custody and they both had existing outstanding warrants. (Still)Broadcast, cable and video news:
CBS has selected LUCAS TILL as "MacGyver" in the reboot of the original series that ran from 1985 to 1992.
You probably know Lucas from "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past," where he played Havoc. He was also MILEY CYRUS' boyfriend in her 2009 film, "Hannah Montana: The Movie."
Deadline also reports JOSHUA BOONE (from "Law & Order: SVU") has also been cast as Gunner, MacGyver's high-school best friend.Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
ADELE has been hacked. The UK's Sun newspaper says her fiance SIMON KONECKI's email was breached and a bunch of Adele's personal photos were uploaded to a Facebook page. That included the ultrasound of the couple's son, ANGELO, who is now three-years-old. The photos have been taken down, but Adele is reportedly furious about the whole thing. (Marino)
Taking everything much too seriously:
A landlord in Colorado is refusing to rent to anyone who supports DONALD TRUMP.
62-year-old MARK HOLMES placed a rental ad last week for a two-bedroom apartment he owns in Grand Junction. In the ad, Holmes makes it clear that tenants can have dogs but they can't have a soft spot for The Donald. Many are accusing Holmes of discrimination. But experts say refusing to rent to someone based on political affiliation is not illegal. (Still) -
