Animal Stories:
Never let it be said that seniors don't like sex!
Diego, who's 100 years old, is a giant tortoise who makes his home on the island of Espanola in the Galapagos islands off the coast of South America. At one point, the giant tortoise was considered endangered on the island, with only two males and 12 females living there. Diego was brought to the island from the San Diego Zoo and he quickly got busy --so busy, in fact, that he's believed to have single handedly saved the species, siring 800 babies in the last 50 years.
WASHINGTON TAPIA, a tortoise preservation expert, says, "I wouldn't say the species is in perfect health, because historical records show there probably used to be five thousand tortoises on the island, but it's a population that's in pretty good shape. (Myers)On, off and way-off-Broadway:
Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member JASON SUDEKIS will star in an Off-Broadway stage version of the 1989 movie, "Dead Poets Society." Playbill.com says Jason will play Mr. Keating, the same role ROBIN WILLIAMS made famous in the film. Previews begin October 27th at Classic Stage Company, and opening night will be November 17th. Tickets are on sale today. (Marino)
Trolling for publicity:
BRITNEY SPEARS could have a future in gymnastics if her singing career ever takes a plunge. The pop tart showed off a photo doing the splits in midair last Tuesday --wearing pink shorts and a blue tank top. The 32-year-old mom admitted she was "kinda bored today" and wanted to see if she could still do a leap. Although BS says it "wasn't perfect," it wasn't "too shabby either."

Meanwhile, Chipotle says it will offer jobs to five-thousand people across the country on Sep 28 during its "National Career Day." The company, says it needs the staff as it's planning to open more than 200 restaurants this year. It's the second "National Career Day" for the company, the first coming a year ago, when the chain hired more than four-thousand people out of the more than 65-thousand who registered for interviews. -
