Today is my brother Ray's wedding anniversary. Next Friday is my sister Bianca's wedding anniversary. They both got married in the same year one week apart. My brother planned his wedding first, my sister inadvertently planned hers and announced it after she had found her reception hall. Myself and my kids were to be in both weddings and no my kids could absolutely not wear the same dresses in each. The earlier planning stages of these wedding brought about much silence and some hurt feelings. My brothers fiance felt my sisters wedding would overshadow hers and vice versa, yet no one was willing to change their date. I on the other hand was concerned with cost, not just for myself, the dresses, gifts and shower expenses but for the out of town guests. Were they expected the fly back and forth in one week or stay for an extended visit. Yes, I recommended a double wedding but neither bride liked me very much after that. My mother totally sided with my sister (her favorite child), my dad sided with my brother. Talk about a conundrum, I mean isn't wedding planning stressful enough? Suffice to say everyone got married, I won't relive the details that led up to this I'll just say that sending two Happy Anniversary cards is a whole lot easier.

What's her stress food? When she's annoyed at her boss does she hit the vending machine and down a bag of chips and a Pop Tart? Our moods tend to dictate what we crave but some of these foods can make us feel worse. Here's a list of mood-lifting alternative foods.
If she's feeling stressed and wants chips, grab almonds instead as they are rich in calcium and pack a better crunch.
If she's wanting Swedish Fish due to a cranky mood,or something gummy and sweet she should grab some strawberries so their added serotonin can help fight the stress/depression.
If she's sleepy and needs to wake up instead of a Snickers bar try a hard-boiled egg, they are a great source of zinc which helps keep you energized.
If she's bored and wanting cookies, pre-cut veggies. But she already knew that.
If she's a scatterbrain and reaching for some cheesy crackers a stck of string cheese will boost her brain better.
If she's ready to scream and needs jelly beans grapes are better thanks to the pectin they provide.
Moody gals needing strawberry ice cream can try fruit flavored water to curb that need.
And if she must have chocolate reach for the darker version as those antioxidants are the healthiest way to enjoy this sweet.
