I owe so many of my girlfriends a call back. My iPhone message center is full, and I purposely do not delete their messages as a reminder to make a return call. These are not quick calls to see if we can meet up; these are catch up calls that will require time and timing, depending on what time zone they live in. Do the math yourself: I have six calls to make covering every region and most will require an hours worth of uninterrupted time.
I cherish this time with my girls and don't want to rush our time. So I wait and plan, and someone gets a sick kid or has to work late, and we reschedule, and text update, and Facebook, and finally our universes align. With a cup of tea or glass of wine our conversation happens and we connect "just like old times." We follow up with Facebook posts saying "we can't wait that long to talk again," but we know we will, and every time it's worth...the time.

Vitamin D is the new "it" supplement. Besides checking with her doctor on the adequate dose, she can soak up some rays and get some. Fifteen minutes of strong sunshine regularly during the week brings this valuable vitamin into her system. (Just don't forget the sunscreen.)
