Youth baseball and softball sign ups are happening across the country. Batting cages are bustling with kids getting warmed up for a new season, while their parents watch carefully to see if they will be playing first string or not. The over zealous parent is always noted as the over-bearing parent. They have been characterized, criticized and glared at from afar. Some really need their kids to excel in a sport because they didn't or because a scholarship is at hand. Sports are necessary for most growing kids, some others lean more academically others musically. It starts with T-ball and moves from there. Personally, I encouraged my kids to play team sports so they exercised and understood how to work with others. Both of my girls were good players, not the best, not the worst, which was a pretty safe place to be in the leagues we were in. The one tip I will give is this: if you want your kid to play ball on any league, any sport, volunteer to be the coach or coaches assistance. Enough said.

How much is she worth
Should she be doing all she does or let someone else clean the house? To figure out what her time is worth, she needs to determine her hourly rate by dividing her salary by 52 weeks and then by how many hours per week she works. If she is a stay-at-home mom, she should estimate that her salary is at least $104,000 a year; that would equal $40 an hour at 50 hours per 52 weeks. She should then figure out how long it takes her to do specific tasks. If it's cheaper to farm them out, she should. Whether it means hiring a housecleaner ,babysitter ,dog-walker, handyman or even a personal assistant, she could be releasing herself of a lot of stress if she takes time to "do the math. "
