I found out the hard way that February was a short month. I was trying to reset the start and stop dates for a She Prep subscription and my system would not let me stop a delivery on February 30. To make a long story short I finally realized after sending a note to my web guy that there were only 29 days in February. I tell you this not to highlight my embarrassing mistake but to remind you that I’m probably not the only one with other things on her mind.
It really seems like yesterday that I was venting about how bathing suits were greeting me at the entrance to many stores before I was ready to start another diet. Then I was thinking it seemed like yesterday that I was chatting with you about Christmas gifts, then New Year’s resolutions. We can carry many topics from month to month and season to season and, if anything, this reminds me that 2011 is flying by. “Little darling it’s been a long, cold and lonely winter” is the tune for lots of women. My girlfriend Robin has a cruise planned for next month. She went shopping and found a great pair of shorts and a top at JCPenney’s; the lightweight fabric alone lifted her spirits, as did the awesome sale price. She’s got something to look forward to and prepare for, regardless of what happens with the weather or work.
Tanning salons and gyms are running specials in the hopes that they can attract others who are ready to segue into another phase of this year. What special are you running and are you running with her? It doesn’t matter if you’re running in front of or behind her, because let me tell you she’s looking after a toddler that just learned how to walk, or she’s chasing down a teenager who needs to be accountable, or a boss who must give her specifics so she can get a job done. The way you run with her is critical to whether or not she strides- I mean listens- to you.She buzz words
