A goodie bag at the dentist can be fun, even if they are considered promotional items. This last bag's contents include a new rinse, two different toothbrushes, floss, lip balm and a coupon for a Sonic toothbrush that promises better check-ups. The days after a dental visit usually result in a newfound adrenaline that fuels at home cleanings. It's fun to keep up with new brushes and products, but the momentum ends fast, and soon old habits creep in unless mom pulls out the big guns. My daughter's trip to the dentist should have gotten me five of these bags, as her mouth was full of problems that extended beyond five cavities, lazering some skin, new spots that should be treated, sealants etc. This out of pocket cost got me a ton of frequent flier miles. Here's hoping a copy of this bill with the x-rays included plastered on her bathroom mirror will provide the necessary motivation to ensure the floss actually goes between her teeth and not just into the trash can.

She is done being shocked by today's gas prices; instead, she is calculating the cost of each trip so she can stay within her budget. These sites help with that.
