Labor Day weekend signifies the end of summer. Hopefully beaches will still be packed, amusement parks will be full and families will be grilling on the patio. School may have started for many, if not by the end of this weekend it will. Shopping and working happens too, someone is getting holiday pay and someone has to work the checkout so the grilling goodies can be bought. This is all contingent on the weather. I can remember more Labor days that have been spent in a torrential downpour than in the sunshine, but I'm choosing optimism at this point, even with the potential of a hurricane to rock a few radar screens. That being said, having a plan B or being able to offer suggestions should weekend plans need to be rescheduled could be the ticket.

Be Organized. Ease back-to-school anxiety by being prepared. Help your child to lay out her clothes and pack her backpack the night before. Be sure to include a healthy lunch and a snack that your child can open and eat on his own.• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
