I have a house full of teenage girls ages 16-18 coming for the weekend. My daughter's church life group needed a host home for an upcoming retreat and I, excuse me, she volunteered our house. A look of horror comes over a few co-workers faces when I tell them my weekend plans, which are to feed these kids, and their leader, and to provide the space needed to let them do their thing, then clean up when they are gone. I am well aware of what could get broken or what could go wrong, but I'm also aware of what could go right and how cool it will be to meet these teens. I'm going to feed them, show them where to lay out their sleeping bag, then ask what music they like and pick their brains on social networking. They aren't too far off from being in the demo. So it's off to the grocery store I go to load up on some fun chick food for my weekend research project...I mean for the girls from youth group.
