National Day of Prayer
May 2, 2013
Today is National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The National Day of Prayer Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on this day. (www.natonaldayofprayer.org)
Baby Day celebrates babies! At least I think it does. This day is recorded in countless internet websites, especially e-card companies. But, I found no content or information to define what this special day is truly about. Logic tells me that it's a day to enjoy and care for young infants. And, it give us the opportunity to celebrate the miracle of birth, and life.
Brothers and Sisters Day
Brothers and Sisters Day is a day to cherish your siblings. Sure, there's times when you love your brothers and sisters. And, there's times when you are challenged with them. All in all, having a brother and/or a sister, or two, is invaluable. The older you get, the more you learn to appreciate them.
Celebrate Brothers and Sisters Day by connecting them in some way. A card, or a phone call, is appropriate for those who are separated by too many miles. A visit, or sharing a meal together, is a great way to enjoy this special day. (specialdays.com)
So take your pick or take a look around you to see what she's celebrating. Perhaps it's as simple as getting her where they had to be on time today, wearing clean clothes with the packed lunch in tow.
