A 2010 study reported that the average woman's handbag weighed three pounds, quite light compared to past years. And its all thanks to the smaller tech gadgets we started carrying. I'm not sure that stat is correct for moms, especially over the summer.
Moms carry more summer things for their kids, besides the necessary essentials like money, sunglasses and gum, moms carry snacks, lots of snacks. Some healthy and some not so healthy. Sometimes you need to have a snack size bag of Doritos you know. A water bottle, sunscreen, band aids, little toys, books and a change of clothes and a iPad/Kindle are necessities as well. Am Imaking my point? What's in your bag this summer?
According to SADD—Students Against Destructive Decisions—teen drivers increase their risk to be involved in an auto accident in the summer. They are driving more than during the school year and staying out later. But parents who set driving limits also limit their teen's chances to get in an accident. To see the SADD contract between parents and teen drivers, log onto www.sadd.org, click "Resources", then "Contract for Life".
She's not itchy
Don't be without a "Don't Bug Me!"patch. It's a natural patch using vitamin B1 and aloe to keep those nasty bugs away. After applying, this patch works in two hours and provides 36 hours of protection. No DEET, so it's kid-safe, and it's waterproof. She thinks this is a must-have for the summer season.
"How come veggie burgers never show up at the barbecue?"
She's continues to repeat
"Hang up your towels; it's a floor, not a hamper."
