The conversations that start up with the person sitting very close next to you on a flight usually start on safe ground; except, during my last trip I got way to much TMI mid-air from a stressed out dad. After I situated myself in my stiff airplane seat the man next to me immediately puts his iPhone 6s in my view and proceeds to show me his kids: a 2 year old boy named Leaf, a beautiful 2 month old baby girl named Meadow and his wife; Autumn. This dads name was Larry. I had to chuckle, as it really sounds like a SNL skit ready to happen. Or we could all start singing "one of these things is not like the other...," but I digress.
Larry has been stressed because his wife contracted MERSA while pregnant and went into every medical detail about the treatment for this and how his baby also contracted the disease. It was a horrible story and certainly eased out any fear about flying. Thankfully all are well now. I gave him my best glare ever when he mentioned his wife, as he stated that she is a ballet dancer still in need of losing her baby weight. I can't believe he said this! Then again he also mentioned his mother who helped him start his business; a music school in an extremely affluent area. I know his rate per hour and all about the different types of women who will pay anything to have him instruct their future rock star. A few accidental yawns got me out of the rest of this story, as I really needed to take a break, I mean a nap.
