Why even bother making the comment that the holidays start earlier and earlier every year? Instead let's come up with a brilliant way to get people talking about our stations, like the Starbucks red cup. Really, they couldn't have planned a better marketing scheme, more attention was drawn to this cup than the GOP debate. Besides, my next door neighbor has already turned on his outdoor Christmas lights and they are really pretty. Hasn't Black Friday and Cyber Monday already happened multiple times this year? The inline sales are booming with holiday deals and Oprah's list of favorites. I've already purchased three of her favs so get shopping! Let me show you the state of the situations with a few girlfriend examples: Brittany hung her stockings over the fireplace and decorated her house with full blown Christmas goods the day after Halloween. Jo already has purchased many things, and has a list of ways she can be a secret Santa to over 100 people. Tracy lost her mother this year, and is bracing for an emotional roller coaster of a season. Meg has taken an extra holiday job to pay for the holiday. Michelle wants nothing to do with Christmas until after she cooks her first Thanksgiving turkey. Midterm exams are happening soon, and football remains the focus of many families along with the ever changing landscape of life. Let's rake a few piles of leaves and jump in them, mulch a few too. Then, play Christmas music, play some Hanukkah sounds too and rock and roll.
