21 Ways To Get The Most From Twitter - March 20, 2012I write about Twitter a lot because next to MySpace it has been one of the easiest platforms I have ever used professionally to grow social media networking contacts. Facebook, LinkedIn and blogs are limited to the people you bring to them, so it can be difficult to grow outside your existing network. Twitter is also been a great tool to increase traffic to other social media platforms including blogs, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and even LinkedIn. I even have clients who report website increases of up to 5,000% through Twitter efforts.
When I first wrote this list, it was January 2010. I had just about 40,000 followers on Twitter; these days I have a few more, but I still try different stuff on my account ALL the time. It is important to experiment to see what works for you. RSS feed aggregation, curating content including quotes/posts/great articles, Re-Tweeting others, strategically following people who follow people who I think I have things in common with, and many others.
