An Ace In The Hole

Part of what makes us successful is knowing what it is that you are very, very good at doing. While many struggle with this throughout their careers, the ones who dial in on their strength are the most successful by far.
KNOW YOURSELF BEST
Out of all humans on the planet, you instinctually know yourself better than anyone else knows you. You know what you love and what you can't stand. You know what turns you on and what turns you off. You know what skills you have to offer. You know your dreams, your goals ... and are headed in that direction.
By knowing all of this, you can also then know what would be best to LEAD with for your career. If you know what to lead with, always lead with your "Ace in the Hole." Your "Ace" is what you are best at doing. That may be working with people. It may be working on the other end of the people spectrum -- for example, in an environment that requires you to focus on numbers.
Whatever it is, this is what will be your greatest strength. I have never understood why some folks are very good at thing "A," but end up doing thing "B" in their career, something in many cases that they dislike doing and therefore carry with them low job satisfaction. Align yourself with what you are very good at and you will be successful at that thing. It makes complete sense.
WORK OR FUN?
By aligning yourself with what you love to do, the concept of "work" becomes foreign. Now you are in a situation where spending time is what you would want to do anyway with your spare time. Once you hit this stride, look out! You are on a rocket to success. Do what you love and love what you do, as the saying goes.
Through the years I have met and spent time with many, many successful people. They did not get there by accident. In almost every case, it was a "natural" for them. They love what they do so much that they would be doing it anyway. This only strengthened their success.
Your "Ace in the Hole" is who you are; it's what you love to do. It becomes your life work. You have something to offer that no other human being can offer, and now is your opportunity to do just that. Once you know what you love, you will know what your career path would be in the most ideal situation.
What's your "Ace in the Hole?"
