No matter what you are good at today, you can be just as good at something related but different tomorrow. What you decide to focus on will be the next chapter of your life. What will that be?
SELECT YOUR REINVENTION
My good friend John Cline says, "If you have been successful at something once, you can do it again." He's right, and living proof of his own words.
While we can do one major thing very well, you can easily switch positions and use your talents to do additional things you love to do. It's all about doing what you love.
I see stories on TV of those who made a career change, or a lifestyle change (like moving somewhere completely different) because they felt it was time for a change. I respect those who do that, because they throw caution to the wind and go for it. They know they need fulfillment and strive to get it. It's not only possible, it's totally "do-able"!
It's not difficult to see yourself doing something different, as long as you would love what you were doing. You can reinvent yourself at any time and any place; it's up to you!
APPLY YOUR KNOWLEDGE
You have amassed amazing and incredible experience and skills up 'til now in your life. Sit down and take an honest look at what you have done. Your skills and experience can be applied to many different things -- not just the specific thing you are doing today. For example, if you can think cool under pressure, and that has served you well through the years, what could you do with that skill? Unlimited potential. Good with numbers? Same. Great with people or kids? Totally valuable. Complex problem-solver? Really valuable. Mechanical stuff a breeze for you? Great demand. So on and so on. The possible usage of your personal skills is unlimited!
Right now at this very moment, you are sitting with a gold mine in your experience and skill. Do you recognize it? If you can step away from yourself and become a true observer, what is it you are both "good at" and "love to do"? If you do ONE of those two, you will be successful. Marry those two, do BOTH, and that is called life fulfillment, super-success. A person who is what we call "On Purpose."
By applying what you have done in the past, you too can reinvent yourself in almost any way conceivable. Sometimes, you are forced to reinvent, sometimes you do it on your own. But in any case, no matter how dark the road of life or career gets, no worry, you can always reinvent and start over fresh!
REAP THE SUCCESS BENEFITS
With the proper reinvention and using your experience, attitude and skill, you can reap the benefits of an amazing success.
Life is a menu. You decide what you will do, and the only thing left is to go after it. If you are not getting what you want out of life, just change it up! Decide where you want to be in a few years, and set your goals.
Reinvent yourself, and enjoy success! I look forward to seeing you climb the ladder!
