A witness testifying about gang activity was attacked by the defendant on the stand before a U.S. marshal shot the attacker to death. Now, I know how courtrooms are laid out; I've practiced law in courtrooms, I've sat in jury boxes, I've seen David E. Kelley shows. And I know that it's not THAT easy to rush the stand. You have to get past a large desk, your attorney, a bailiff... how did he get that far? (Salt Lake Tribune)
