I Would Hope They Gave A Refund For That Trip

A guy says he used Uber for a ride in Washington and the driver ended up taking him along on a high-speed chase trying to elude D.C. Taxicab Commission inspectors. The driver allegedly ran red lights and sped off, insisting that he would be fined if he stopped. Finally, the inspector blocked the Uber car on an exit ramp and the passengers got out, and the Uber car turned around to go the wrong way down the ramp. What's interesting is that the Uber driver hadn't even violated D.C. taxi rules when he took off on his race. And now the customer's wondering about Uber's screening process for drivers. As you might also be doing right now. (Washington Post)
