Not that discussing the death penalty is ever a good idea on the radio, but if you must, a federal judge has declared California's death penalty unconstitutional because they take too long and execute too few people, and that means who gets killed and who doesn't becomes arbitrary and without deterrent effect. Again, you being this up on the air and all you'll get are the organized callers on each side, so it's your call. (Los Angeles Times)
