You Probably Don't Want To Know What Your Favorite Ballplayers Are Up To

A cop -- actually, New Jersey's third highest ranking officer in the Human Services Police force -- has been convicted of using a secure FBI database to do background checks on members of his favorite minor league baseball team and on a home health aide he was considering hiring to watch his mother. He also was charged with other stuff like fraudulent time cards but was acquitted on those counts. No matter; if you COULD access an FBI database, could you resist the temptation of looking people up? (Newark Star-Ledger)
