Meanwhile, L.A. Doesn't Have A Team. And, Frankly, Doesn't Want One

While the Raiders have been talking about a new stadium in Oakland, they've reportedly also been talking to San Antonio. On the face of it, it makes some sense: Large market, temporary facility ready to go (the Alamodome is fine for a temporary building but needs a lot of work to be NFL-caliber), Texas. But the latter is a question mark- the state is already largely Cowboys country with the exception of Harris County and that immediate area leaning Texans. Would San Antonio (and Austin, which is right up the road) be able to drop the 'Boys and go for the Raiders? And will the league want to lose San Antonio as a bargaining chip for other cities to get new stadia? (San Antonio Express-News)
