Normally, You'd Have To Go A Few Miles West To Catch A Wave

At this writing, a massive water main break on Sunset Boulevard is still flooding the UCLA campus, although it's subsiding. But at its peak, the thing was spraying water everywhere and flooding Pauley Pavilion, the fabled (and recently renovated) basketball arena, as well as other buildings and facilities. Do I need to mention that we're in a drought and need every drop we can get? Or that Sunset is a really major east-west thoroughfare and the break left quite a large hole in the road? Or that the main was from 1921, which is not uncommon but points out the need for a major infrastructure renovation for which nobody has the money? (Los Angeles Times)
