Do as he says: Sen, Ed Markey (D-MA), one of the most powerful politicians in the U.S. today, has gotten a lot of mileage out of championing campaign finance reform. That's interesting, because he's by far the leader in taking contributions from registered lobbyists in the last year and a half. He's about $200,000 ahead of the next highest (John Boehner, incidentally). So the guy who rails to the public about special interests takes special interest money. In fairness, he had to run for the Senate twice in a single cycle, a special election and then the regular election, but it still means that he takes money from the special interests while claiming to be pure.
