Maybe They Should Have Bid On LeBron James, Too

The owner of the NHL's Florida Panthers is saying that they can't stay in Florida under present conditions, and unlike owners who do so to exact new arenas out of their cities, this is real: The Panthers' arena isn't the problem (although I've been to games there and it's surreal to walk through the parking lot with temps in the high 80s and heavy humidity and go inside for a hockey game), the attendance and lack of interest in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale market is. They're 29th in the league in attendance, at 14,777 (which isn't that bad, but not enough to make money). And they have a lease until 2028, but Broward County may let them out if it, in which case... Seattle? Quebec City? Kansas City? Where should they go? (Pro Hockey Talk/NBC Sports)
