The insensitivity of trendoids is mindboggling. The Zara clothing chain has withdrawn a shirt and apologized for selling it, because it's basically the same design Jewish concentration camp prisoners were forced to wear, replete with a yellow Star of David. They clearly thought that putting "SHERIFF" in faint letters on the star would be a figleaf for their anti-Semitism, but... geez, you can't see that shirt any other way but as representing the Holocaust. It's not even close. And the same chain once sold a handbag with a Swastika pattern. Worst: The commenters on USA Today all seem to think there's nothing wrong with it, but, then again, hating Jews seems to be fashionable now. Sigh. (USA Today)
