If you thought that there was no way in hell that the father of two children killed by a drunk driver was going to be convicted of murder for shooting the driver, especially in Texas, you were right: He was acquitted. Here's the thing: No murder weapon, no gunpowder residue on his hands, no witnesses. So the prosecutors really had nothing but a motive, but a motive alone doesn't prove anything. They probably shouldn't have pushed it this far. (Houston Chronicle)
