I love stories about secret spots in cities that nobody knows about, like the abandoned subway stations of New York. Here's something I never knew about the Ben Franklin Bridge between Philadelphia and Camden: It was built with elaborate trolley stations with elevators and ornate decoration, but the trolley tracks and stations were never used. By the time the bridge opened in 1926, trolleys were already being de-emphasized in favor of buses, and there was no need for the stations. But they're still there. Yeah, I'd love to go in there and see them. (KYW/Philadelphia)
