Shouldn't Take So Many Tries To Get It Right

He was suspended. Then he was going to play. Then the entire world reacted, and now Adrian Peterson's indefinitely suspended. This is getting to be even more ridiculous than we assumed the NFL was capable of being. They really have zero idea what to do in a crisis. It shouldn't take international public revulsion for them to do the right thing, and there should be "sentencing" guidelines and a sensible process in place, which there obviously isn't. But what changed from Monday to Tuesday to prompt this? They say "additional thought," which means that Anheuser-Busch and McDonald's voiced their displeasure and Radisson pulled its sponsorship and the Vikings panicked. (St. Paul Pioneer Press)
